The results of the 2022 MWG President’s Writing Contest were announced today—and I received First Place for Best Children’s Book (sponsored by The Missouri Association of School Librarians) for Hypatia-Ancient Alexandria’s Female Scholar and First Place for the Best Short Story (sponsored by Larry Wood) for “The Sage Grouse and the Bandit Queen.”

I also received second place for the Best Poem (sponsored by St. Louis Publisher’s Association) for “Make Your Time Count” and third place for the Best Magazine Article (sponsored by Missouri Life Magazine) for “At the Mercy of a Killer.”
